Thank you for this years festival!

In August, Gothenburg and Western Sweden were filled with performing arts from around the world as the Gothenburg Dance and Theatre Festival once again took over the city. For ten days, audiences experienced dance, circus, performance and theatre from all corners of the globe. This year’s programme moved between the spectacular and the intimate, the playful and the existential. It featured cinematic acrobatics, raw and poetic circus, intense dance experiences and quiet stories of resistance, survival and belonging. The festival brought together powerful artistic voices and unexpected encounters – on theatre stages, squares and streets throughout Gothenburg. Works that reflected our times, sparked thoughts and emotions, and created experiences that lingered long after the curtain had fallen.
